A TV, encased in frosted glass, plays a series of videos appearing on the screen only as painterly flashes of color. The audio emitted from the TV is patched through a series of effect pedals, the speakers broadcast a musical ambient hum, murmurs of sound break through but nothing is intelligible.

A small plaque next to the TV states that the videos playing behind the frosted glass are a Livestream of the most recently uploaded videos to a site dedicated to hosting only the most gruesome depictions of violence.

Yet, the videos are actually nothing of the sort. Unbeknownst to the viewer, the videos behind the screen only depict the most benign activities: a birthday party, a sunset. The viewer must confront the raw “idea” of violence, without any violence being present.
